Teepa Snow, MS, OTR/L, Fellow of the American Occupational Therapy Association Teepa Snow, one of America’s leading educators on dementia care, guides The Arbor Company’s memory care programs. With more than 25 years’ experience in geriatrics, she has worked in all aspects of the field, from research to training direct-care staff. Her approach focuses on personalizing care for each resident and preserving the individual’s functional abilities in a compassionate setting. The goal: a heightened level of resident engagement in meaningful activities. Teepa has worked at the Alzheimer’s Association of Eastern North Carolina, the Duke University School of Nursing and the UNC School of Medicine. Published extensively on the topics of aging and dementia, she has been honored with numerous national awards. Teepa helps us implement cutting-edge ideas, the most thorough staff training possible, and care that engages, calms and enriches the lives of our Residents. Through support groups and one-to-one counseling for family members, her wisdom and experience make a clear difference in their ability to help a memory-impaired loved one.
